Planning the replacement

Before you choose a unit, we look at the chimney, the hearth, and the clearances around the fireplace. That tells us what will fit, what it needs for venting, and whether any repairs have to happen first.

Installation done as one job

We remove the old unit, install the new one, and run the liner and venting in the same project, so one team is responsible for the result. Stove and insert installations may require a permit from your town. We’ll let you know what applies.

Common questions

Does a new stove or insert need a new liner?

Usually, yes. Inserts and stoves need a flue sized to their outlet. Most installations include a stainless steel liner from the appliance to the top of the chimney.

Can a wood fireplace be converted to gas?

Often, yes, with a gas insert or gas logs, if a gas line can be run to the fireplace. We'll check the chimney and the space and explain what's possible.
